The Role
As a SRE – CDP you will maintain scalable and reliable application stack by doing proactive monitoring, tunning and optimization. Collaborate with development teams to ensure new features and services are reliable and scalable. Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, OpenStack or similar cloud technologies, Kafka and elastic agent is important in this role. Proficiency in scripting languages like Python and strong experience in implementing and managing CI/CD pipeline is also important.
Key responsibilities:
• Ensure right first time deployments by adopting efficient deployment strategies (running automated tests etc) before deploying code to production.
• Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to improve reliability and performance.
• Automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Develop and maintain monitoring, alerting, and incident response systems.
• Conduct root cause analysis of incidents and implement preventive measures.
• Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical systems.
• Document processes, procedures, and best practices
Your Profile
Key Skills/ Knowledge/Experience:
• Experienced SRE engineer and Experience in CI/CD.
• Experience in Openstack or cloud technologies.
• Experience in Kubernetes.
• Experience in handling syslogs.
• Experience in Elastic agent or similar beat technologies.
• Experience in scripting languages – Python.
• Experience in Kafka.
• Experience in Network Management tools.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure Monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with large scale data processing platforms.
• Experience in Network Management/monitoring tools.
• Network awareness and understanding of basic routing protocols.
Good to have:
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
