About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Video Editor who can independently own the full video pipeline — from planning and shooting content on-site to editing, polishing, and delivering final assets. The ideal candidate combines strong editing craft with production experience (camera, lighting, sound across brand, product, corporate, and event shoots) and is comfortable using AI tools to speed up editing, generate assets, and enhance output quality. This role suits someone who has worked across multiple industries and sectors — not tied to a single content style — and enjoys being present at shoots as much as they enjoy the editing timeline.
Key Responsibilities
Video Editing
• Edit raw footage into polished videos for brand films, product videos, ads, testimonials, event recaps, and social content across sectors (e.g. real estate, e-commerce, F&B, fashion, corporate, healthcare, education).
• Work across formats: vertical (Reels/Shorts), horizontal (YouTube/website), and square (feed) content.
• Apply color grading, sound design, motion graphics, and text/caption overlays for a consistent brand look, adapting style to each client or sector's tone.
• Maintain a structured library of raw footage, project files, and final exports.
• Turn around quick-edit content (reels, teasers) within tight timelines for social media cadence.
Production & Shoots
• Plan and execute on-location shoots across varied settings — studios, retail/commercial spaces, offices, events, outdoor locations, or client sites, depending on the project.
• Operate camera, gimbal, lighting, and audio equipment independently or with a small crew.
• Coordinate shoot logistics: shot lists, schedules, locations, and talent/client coordination.
• Ensure footage is shot with post-production in mind (framing, coverage, audio quality).
• Adapt shooting style and setup to the requirements of different industries and brand briefs.
AI-Assisted Workflow
• Use AI tools for tasks such as auto-transcription, rough-cut assembly, voice cloning/dubbing, AI voiceovers, upscaling, and background/object removal.
• Leverage generative AI tools (e.g. Runway, Pika, ElevenLabs, Adobe Firefly/Premiere AI features, CapCut AI) to create supplementary visuals, B-roll, or effects when live footage isn’t available.
• Stay current with emerging AI video tools and proactively suggest workflow improvements that save editing time without compromising quality.
• Use AI responsibly — flagging where AI-generated elements are used and ensuring brand and factual accuracy across all client and sector content.
Requirements
• 2–5 years of hands-on video editing experience (agency or multi-client/multi-sector background preferred).
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and/or DaVinci Resolve; working knowledge of After Effects for motion graphics.
• Demonstrated production experience — has shot content independently, not only edited footage shot by others.
• Practical experience with at least 2–3 AI video/audio tools (e.g. Runway, CapCut AI, ElevenLabs, Descript, Topaz, Adobe AI features).
• Comfortable operating DSLR/mirrorless cameras, gimbals, and basic lighting/audio setups.
• Strong sense of pacing, storytelling, and visual style, with the versatility to adapt across different brand and sector requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Own two-wheeler/vehicle preferred for travel to shoot locations.
Good to Have
• A portfolio spanning multiple sectors or client types, showing range beyond a single niche.
• Drone piloting experience/certification.
• Basic graphic design skills (Photoshop/Canva) for thumbnails and supporting creatives.
• A portfolio or reel demonstrating both shooting and editing work.
