Conceiving the brief/Directions from Buyer’s/Merchants, developing concepts/Ideas, implementing in physical samples and overseeing them to selection/completion. • Directing and motivating a team of designer cad operators etc. to help them use their talents effectively. • Strong analytical skills to decode & process Buyers’ given briefs. • Creative & conceptual thinking to offer a very new & fresh look in new development collections for exhibitions & Pitch buyers also. • Good knowledge & taste in woven furnishing products, rugs, pillows, throws etc. • In-depth knowledge of a variety of yarns in terms of material (Natural/Synthetic), look, feel, construction & behaviour. • Good ability to study, analyse & incorporate forecasts & trends in any ongoing & new development. • Knowledge of yarn’s dying behaviours to ensure the final outcome. • Good knowledge of Colors in dying & printing. Good working knowledge of software essentially Adobe Photoshop & Corel Draw also Adobe Illustrator & Microsoft Excel & Word QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors/Masters in Textile Design from NID or NIFT or any reputed institute
