• Receive, label, and prepare tissue samples for examination following established protocols.
• Perform tissue embedding, microtomy, and routine and special staining procedures, including Hematoxylin and Eosin (HE), immunohistochemistry, and other advanced techniques.
• Ensure proper handling, preservation, and disposal of specimens according to safety guidelines.
• Operate and maintain complex laboratory equipment, such as microtomes, cryostats, automated stainers, and coverslippers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to equipment or procedures to minimize downtime and ensure high-quality results.
• Assist in developing and optimizing laboratory protocols and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Perform quality control checks on slides and stains to ensure they meet diagnostic standards.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all laboratory work, including specimen tracking, staining results, and any corrective actions taken.
