This is a remote position.
Job Summary And Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly motivated Front-End UI and Mid-Tier Developer with 5+ years of experience in the desired technology stack listed below. As a developer in Tax Data Repository development team, you will work closely with a very experienced scrum team to develop an internal application used to support our industry-leading tax applications and work with the latest technologies.
Job Responsibilities Include
• Designing object-oriented and service-oriented architectures.
• Programming and unit testing of code based upon design sessions with internal software users, customer-reported issues, and input from Product Management, Tax Research, and other cross-functional departments.
• Unit and performance testing of design as part of development cycle.
• Developing and re-factoring existing products, providing product enhancements, and resolving product defects to meet internal customer issues.
• Providing technical expertise and peer code reviews to other team members.
• Providing architectural input on new and existing solutions.
• Writing technical specifications, program documentation, and unit test plans.
• Maintaining solid relationships with cross-functional peers.
• Assisting in Quality Assurance process and customer issue resolution.
• Partnering with Quality Assurance to drive high-quality, on-time deliverables.
• Design and develop web applications using Angular and REST API using node/loopback.
• Implement Jenkins CI/CD pipelines and GitHub actions.
• Understand existing Java applications and reuse them from web applications.
• Manage deployments and app servers.
• Involve in migrating On-prem servers to AWS.
• Implement data-driven test frameworks like cypress.
Requirements
Job and work experience requirements:
• Bachelor’s in computer science or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience designing, developing, deploying, and supporting products in an enterprise or SaaS environment.
• AWS Certification at the associate level or above.
• Experience with full life cycle development: requirements gathering, analysis, design, coding, unit testing, and acceptance testing.
• Experience with agile/scrum development methodologies.
• Prior work experience in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
• Performance testing, analysis, and tuning experience.
UI Skill Set
• Angular 7 (and/or later)
• JavaScript and TypeScript
• Node.js, Loopback, Express.js or any similar backend frameworks
• Bootstrap 2 and 3
• JSON, HTML5, CSS3, LESS
• Experience interacting with RESTful services
• Experience of using Cypress or any other automation framework
• Experience of using Postman, SOAP UI etc.
• Unit testing experience with Karma and Jasmine
• Git
• Preferred (but not required):
• Wijmo
• Angular UI Bootstrap
• Experience migrating from Bootstrap 2 to 3
• Angular 7 (or later) migrations
Mid-tier Skill Set
• Node.js
• Writing RESTful services with Node.js
• Express
• Preferred (but not required):
• PHP
• Oracle and/or Postgres DB (SQL, Packages, Procedures, Views)
• Experience rewriting from Java to Node.js
Other Specialized Knowledge And Skills Required
• Strong analytical and design skills.
• Highly accountable for meeting all commitments and deadlines.
