Sr. Salesforce Developer

About the Role

Wits Innovation Lab is looking for a highly skilled Senior Salesforce Developer to join our engineering team. In this role, you’ll build, customize, and enhance Salesforce applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Develop Apex classes, triggers, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Aura components
Customize Salesforce objects, flows, validation rules, dashboards, and workflows
Build and maintain integrations using REST/SOAP APIs
Collaborate with product, QA, and business teams to understand and implement requirements
Perform code reviews and follow Salesforce best practices and coding standards
Troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and improve existing solutions
Stay updated with the latest Salesforce releases, tools, and platform updates
Contribute to CI/CD and DevOps processes related to Salesforce deployments
Required Skills & Qualifications

2–5 years of hands-on experience as a Salesforce Developer
Strong knowledge of Apex, LWC, Visualforce, SOQL/SOSL
Experience with API integrations (REST/SOAP)
Practical knowledge of Salesforce Flows & Declarative Tools
Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodology
Salesforce Platform Developer I (PD1) certification is mandatory
Good communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills

Salesforce Platform Developer II / Architect track certifications
Experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or Experience Cloud
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Understanding of Salesforce security, profiles, permission sets, and governance
