As a Senior Data Architect at our company, you will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing scalable data solutions. Your expertise in data architecture and experience with AWS data services will be essential in this role. Your hands-on proficiency in PySpark, AWS Glue, and RDBMS technologies will enable you to excel in the following key responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing scalable, robust, and secure data architectures
- Developing and maintaining data pipelines using PySpark and AWS Glue
- Architecting data lakes and data warehouses on the AWS cloud platform
- Optimizing ETL/ELT processes for performance and reliability
- Working with structured and unstructured data across multiple sources
- Defining data models, data governance, and data quality frameworks
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Data Engineers, Analysts, and Business stakeholders
- Ensuring best practices in data security, compliance, and scalability
- Performing data migration and modernization from legacy systems
- Troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues and bottlenecks
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Robust hands-on experience in Data Architecture and Data Modeling
- Expertise in AWS services (Glue, S3, Redshift, Lambda, EMR, etc.)
- Advanced proficiency in PySpark / Spark
- Solid experience with RDBMS (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL)
- Experience designing Data Lakes and Data Warehouses
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT frameworks
- Proficiency in SQL and performance tuning
- Knowledge of data governance and security best practices
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop ecosystem)
- Familiarity with streaming frameworks (Kafka, Kinesis)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data workflows
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, Data Analytics Specialty)
In addition to the technical qualifications, a Bachelors or Postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Full-time mandatory) is required for this role. Your key competencies, including solid problem-solving and analytical skills, excellent communication and stakeholder management, ability to work in a rapid-paced, agile environment, and leadership and mentoring capabilities, will contribute to your success in this position.
