Job Description
Job Summary: We are seeking a talented and experienced Android Developer with over 3 years of professional experience to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Android development principles, a passion for building seamless mobile applications, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Application Development:
• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications.
• Implement user interfaces that are intuitive and responsive, adhering to the latest Material Design guidelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers and backend developers, to define, design, and deliver new features.
• Code Quality & Optimization:
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using best practices.
• Optimize applications for maximum performance, responsiveness, and scalability.
• Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure adherence to development standards.
• Testing & Debugging:
• Perform thorough testing of the application, including unit testing, integration testing, and UI testing.
• Debug and resolve complex issues and performance bottlenecks to ensure smooth application functionality.
• API Integration:
• Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party libraries to connect the app with external services.
• Work closely with the backend team to align on data models and endpoints.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Document code changes, features, and functionalities for future reference and team collaboration.
• Provide regular updates and reports on project progress, timelines, and challenges.
• Research & Innovation:
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in mobile development.
• Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance user experience and app performance.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience of 3+ years in Android development using Java/Kotlin.
• Strong understanding of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
• Experience with Android components such as Activities, Fragments, Services, Broadcast Receivers, and Content Providers.
• Proficiency in working with APIs, JSON, and third-party libraries (e.g., Retrofit, Glide, etc.).
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
• Experience with tools such as Android Studio, Gradle, and ADB.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with MVVM architecture and Jetpack components.
• Familiarity with Firebase services (Analytics, Cloud Messaging, Crashlytics).
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and processes.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
