Responsibilities
• Design, construct, and maintain scalable data management systems on Azure Cloud.
• Develop and optimize data pipelines and architectures using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Ensure that systems meet business requirements and industry best practices.
• Integrate new Azure-based technologies and software engineering tools into existing data structures.
• Develop processes for data mining, modeling, and production with Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, etc.
• Build and maintain custom software components and analytics applications on Azure.
• Leverage a variety of languages and tools to combine data systems, especially Python, SQL, and Azure Functions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data architects, modelers, and engineers to align on long-term goals for the data platform.
• Optimize and recommend ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
• Conduct research to address complex industry and business problems using Azure-based solutions.
• Provide strategic input on the overall data platform architecture using Azure Data Lake Storage and Azure Blob Storage.
Requirements
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Data Engineer, Software Developer, or in a similar role.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud technologies including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Lake.
• Strong experience with big data tools and stream-processing systems within the Azure ecosystem.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, Java, or other scripting languages.
• Experience with relational databases and NoSQL databases in Azure, including Azure SQL Database and Cosmos DB.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Understanding of data privacy regulations and best practices.
Added Advantage
• Experience with machine learning on Azure.
• Knowledge of Power BI for data visualization.
• Certification in Azure Data Engineer or Azure Solutions Architect.
