Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Strong understanding of database security, compliance, and monitoring tools
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
Responsibilities
Expertise in cloud platforms and database migration is essential for this role
Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of SQL Server databases across on-premise and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, etc.)
Plan and execute database migrations to cloud environments
Oversee database performance tuning, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
Implement and manage high-availability solutions, including clustering, replication, and Always On Availability Groups
Develop and enforce database security policies and ensure compliance with standards
Monitor database health and proactively address performance bottlenecks
Automate database management tasks using tools and scripting (T-SQL, PowerShell, etc.)
Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to design and deliver scalable database solutions
Provide leadership and mentorship to the database administration team
