Speech/Language Pathologist (Early Intervention)

About the Position: This position is located in the Directorate of Medicine, Early Intervention Services (EIS) at Yokota Air Base, Japan. Incumbent serves as a Speech/Language Pathologist for Early Intervention Services (EIS) of the Educational and Developmental Intervention Services (EDIS) program, providing services to eligible infants/toddlers and their families under Department of Defense (DoD) criteria. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation ['Serve as a Speech/Language Pathologist for Early Intervention Services (EIS) of the Educational and Developmental Intervention Services (EDIS) program.', 'Collaborate in an interdisciplinary team, including the parents, for the development of an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).', 'Provide or coordinate a range of services and supports designed to ensure and enhance children’s personal development and resilience, strengthen family competencies, and promote the social and cultural inclusion of families and children.', 'Perform Child Find, Screening, and Evaluation Services to identify children in the local EDIS Area of Responsibility (AOR) who may require EIS.', 'Serve as service coordinator for families and as liaison to school-based or other community-based service delivery programs.', 'Participate in the Local Inter-component Coordinating Council (LICC) to facilitate the development of community resources and programs that enhance the quality of life for families of children with special needs.'] FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
