Position Description
As a Human Resources Specialist, you will:
Serve as the primary contact for employment-related matters and provide guidance on HR policies and regulations.
Audit HR policies for compliance with changing employment legislation and respond to inquiries regarding company policies.
Update and maintain Health & Safety Programs, and produce reports on organizational metrics such as headcount and turnover.
Manage HRIS system updates for new hires, transfers, and terminations, and support HR initiatives including onboarding and wellness programs.
Lead projects like B.E.L.T. and bursary programs, while providing benefits administration support and maintaining accurate employee information.
Required Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who meets the following qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Administration, Finance, or a related field
1-3 years of experience in HR in a generalist capacity, or a background in Administration, Finance or related.
Knowledge in compensation and benefits program administration.
