About PACTT Learning Center:
PACTT educational, residential, and vocational programs support children and adults with autism. At PACTT, our mission is to assist individuals with autism in becoming as independent as possible with the ability to integrate effectively into their homes and community.
Job Description:
PACTT is looking for a special education teacher to join our dynamic teaching team. This role provides assistance to students with autism in a fully integrated educational program at a therapeutic day school. Special Education Teachers provide direct support to students in the areas of academics, socialization, communication, independent living, and vocational skills. Our low student-to-staff ratio and small class sizes allow for regular small group and individual instruction. Related services (Speech Therapy, Occupational therapy and Social Work) are integrated into our classroom and community experiences. Teachers are supported by one or more Paraprofessionals based on the number of students in their classroom. Experience with students with autism preferred.
Full-time employees are eligible for full benefits after their probationary period ends.
