Job Description
Join us as a Special Education Specialist at the Alabama Department of Education! We are looking for a dedicated professional to provide speech and language services to students with disabilities. As a Special Education Specialist, you will work closely with teachers, parents, and other education professionals to develop individualized educational plans (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of each student.
About the Role
This is a full-time, +-month contract position with a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. To be eligible, you must hold a valid Alabama Professional Educator Certificate in Speech or Language Impairment and have demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Your key responsibilities will include conducting diagnostic evaluations, developing IEPs, and providing direct therapy services to students. You will also participate in multidisciplinary teams, collaborate with colleagues, and maintain accurate records and reports.
