Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
• Partner with general education teachers to co-teach and support diverse learners in Social Studies and English Language Arts.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
• Monitor student progress, provide accommodations, and adapt instructional strategies to ensure all students achieve academic growth.
• Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment promoting engagement and learning for all students.
• Collaborate with staff, parents, and specialists to address student challenges and celebrate successes.
Qualifications:
• Certified Special Education Teacher credential.
• Experience working with middle school students, preferably in 7th or 8th grade.
• Strong knowledge of co-teaching models and instructional strategies for inclusive classrooms.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with educators, students, and families.
• Commitment to student-centered learning and professional development.
Location: Wilmington, Illinois — serving an upper middle school community.
