An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher specializing in grades 6-10, located in Helotes, TX. This contract position involves working full-time hours37.5 hours per week across 5 daysserving students aged 6 to 12. The role focuses on providing tailored educational support and fostering the development of students with special needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with state standards
• Deliver specialized instruction to students with disabilities in grades 6-10
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to promote inclusive learning
• Monitor and assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for compliance and reporting purposes
Qualifications and Experience:
• Certification or licensure as a Special Education Teacher
• Experience teaching students in grades 6 through 10 with diverse learning needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and colleagues
• Ability to design and implement individualized instructional strategies
• Familiarity with compliance regulations and documentation requirements in special education
