Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and reliable Southeast Regional CDL Class A Driver to join our team. This role involves operating tractor-trailers across Georgia, North Carolina, and surrounding states, delivering freight efficiently and safely. As a key member of our logistics network, you'll ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations and maintaining excellent customer service standards.
Responsibilities
Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions across regional routes, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and specialized equipment
Load and unload freight using appropriate manual handling techniques or forklift when necessary
Navigate routes using GPS systems to ensure timely deliveries while optimizing fuel efficiency
Comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules, and hazardous materials regulations when applicable
Manage documentation for shipments, including delivery logs and safety reports
Maintain vehicle safety by conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report any mechanical issues promptly
Follow all safety protocols for handling dangerous goods or hazardous materials during transport
Experience
Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record
Proven experience driving commercial trucks, including route driving in regional settings
Familiarity with manual transmission trucks and various trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or dump trucks
Experience with freight handling, load & unload procedures, and logistics cargo management
Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance standards, and hazardous materials handling is highly desirable
Prior delivery driver experience preferred, especially involving freight that requires careful manual handling or special equipment like forklifts or roll-off trucks
