The Opportunity
We have a new opportunity for a Solicitor to join our Band 1 and award‑winning dispute resolution team, based in Sydney.
In this role, you will work closely with Michael Lake on construction and infrastructure disputes, with a focus on Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. You will work with clients involved in delivering projects across a broad range of sectors, including infrastructure, energy, and property. Your work will span the full project lifecycle - from early-stage risk management and advising on complex project delivery issues, through to the resolution of disputes where they arise.
You will be involved in a range of dispute resolution processes, including litigation, arbitration, adjudication and expert determination, as well as informal resolution processes such as facilitation, mediation and commercial negotiation.
You will also work alongside other pre-eminent disputes partners and senior lawyers, with genuine responsibility, direct client engagement, and the opportunity to contribute to the identification and resolution of complex issues and disputes, including shaping practical, commercial outcomes for clients.
What you’ll bring
Admission as a Lawyer in Australia or New Zealand
2–5 years of post-qualification experience
Strong technical and analytical skills
An excellent academic record and a commitment to developing as a construction disputes specialist
Excellent communication skills and collegiality within a team
An innovative mindset, curious about AI and emerging technologies.
