Responsibilities In this role, you will write new code, and gain experience building and delivering a cloud service with many new resiliency, recovery and scalability challenges. Works with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a feature. Supports identification of dependencies, and the development of design documents for a product feature with oversight. With guidance, learns to create and implement code for a product, service, or feature reusing code as applicable. Assists and learns about breaking down work items into tasks and provides estimation. Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) in monitoring system/product feature/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions for simple problems, and recommends actions to restore system/product/service by following the playbook. Reviews current developments and proactively seeks new knowledge that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience. 1+ years of experience in tooling and automation at scale. 1+ years of development experience in object-oriented languages and troubleshooting. Other Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science OR related technical field AND 1+ year(s) technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, OR Python OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience. 1+ year(s) experience with large-scale storage, Datacenter Hardware infra, distributed systems, and cloud services, with knowledge of Kusto, Logic Apps, Python, Power BI, Watson, and Azure cloud. 1+ year(s) of experience in an agile environment utilizing agile development practices and running scrum. 1+ year(s) working in cross-functional teams and strong interpersonal skills. #azurecorejobs Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer.
