As a Software Engineer in our Technology & Data team you will design, build, and integrate the specialised applications that keep the GCSB and NZSIS operating efficiently. Develop new features or whole components when commercial solutions are unsuitable, including test planning and user‑acceptance activities.
Monitor emerging technologies and recommend enhancements that improve capability or efficiency.
Produce clear support guides and maintain up‑to‑date documentation for certification, accreditation, and operational hand‑over.
Diagnose and resolve defects, optimise performance, and apply patches to existing codebases.
Serve as a technical advisor to other teams, explaining system architecture and best‑practice usage to maximise overall system value.
