As a Java developer in Software Engineering group, you'll be developing applications while providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing.

Job Responsibilities
• Participate in design and development of scalable and resilient systems in a timely manner.
• This is a hands-on technical role. The candidate should be comfortable working with Java, Multi-threaded, complex, high-performance, techno-functional environment.
• Design, write, comment and unit test code of highest quality software modules, should be able to work independently as well as in Team and mentor junior team members whenever required.
• Liaise with stakeholders to gather & understand the functional requirement.
• Develop technical components as per JPMC technical standards, Enhance and maintain existing components and services.
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.
• Provide level-3 support to troubleshoot production issues and assist users with their queries.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities And Skills
• 5-8 Years of Strong experience in application designing, development and testing for backend server development.
• Proficient in Core and Advanced Java programming, Java EE, Collections and multi-threading.
• Proficient with any RDBMS, Oracle is preferred.
• Familiarity with Unix/Shell scripting and Hudson/Jenkins for deployment.
• Working proficiency in developmental toolsets such as Git/BitBucket and Jira
• Experience with build tools Maven/Ant
• Excellent analytical and Problem-solving skills. Strong sense of attention to detail, accountability, pride in delivering high quality work and willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
• Having experience with AWS services would be preferred.
• Any experience on Python, Tibco EMS, Pivotal Gemfire, Mule ESB, Kubernetes, Autosys, Docker and other cloud technologies will be an advantage.
• Experience with Investment Banking - Fixed Income domain will be an advantage.
