Job Description
JOB TITLE- SOFTWARE ENGINEER, ANDROID
LOCATION - NAVI MUMBAI
ROLE :
We are seeking a talented and experienced Android Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Android platform and a passion for building exceptional mobile applications.
You will collaborate with product
managers, designers, and other engineers to create user-friendly, high-performance, and scalable solutions that delight our users.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality applications for JioSaavn.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and continuous integration.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process and tools.
REQUIREMENTS :
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as an Android developer with a portfolio of published apps.
• Proficiency in Android app lifecycles, Java, xml and Kotlin.
• Experience with Android frameworks such as local data store, app compilation process etc.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, Web Sockets to connect Android applications to back-end services.
• Knowledge of other web technologies and UI / UX standards.
• Understanding of Android's design principles and interface guidelines.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
• Familiarity with continuous integration.
PREFERRED SKILLS :
• Experience with media streaming technologies.
• Familiarity with audio / video processing frameworks.
• Experience with performance and memory tuning with Instruments.
• Understanding of Play Store Review Guidelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
