The Wise Blend is a creative and e-learning company that actively builds content around founder-led conversations, business insights, tech trends, and thought leadership. We create podcasts, short-form videos, and social media content that educates, engages, and builds brand authority.
We’re looking for a Social Media–first Video Editor who can turn raw podcast conversations and talking-head footage into high-performing Instagram Reels, LinkedIn clips, and short-form videos.
Role Overview
This role is focused on editing and packaging content for social media performance. You will work closely with founders and the content team to identify strong moments, create scroll-stopping clips, and deliver clean, high-retention videos ready for publishing.
This is not a traditional long-form editor role. You should think in hooks, cuts, subtitles, and retention.
Key Responsibilities
• Edit podcast episodes and founder-led conversations into short-form clips (Reels, Shorts, LinkedIn videos)
• Create high-retention social media edits using jump cuts, punch-ins, zooms, and pacing techniques
• Add clean, readable subtitles with emphasis on key words and phrases
• Identify strong hooks and moments that work well on social platforms
• Maintain consistent visual style and brand tone across content
• Enhance videos with basic motion graphics, text animations, and sound design
• Organize raw footage, selects, and final exports efficiently
• Collaborate with the content team on clip ideas and formats
What We’re Looking For
• 1–3 years of experience editing short-form social media videos
• Strong experience editing talking-head and podcast-style content
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (After Effects is a bonus)
• Excellent understanding of Instagram Reels / LinkedIn video formats
• Strong subtitle styling and text hierarchy skills
• A natural sense of timing, pacing, and storytelling
• Ability to work independently and deliver consistently
• Comfortable editing founder-led, unscripted content
• Based in Mumbai – this is an on-site role
