You hold the power of the mountain in your hands, you are responsible for everyone enjoying their day on the ski hill. Some of the most important jobs take place when nobody is around to see the success. Snowmaking is made by a small group of highly motivated and a dedicated group of the Nakiska team. This can be day or night during the weekend and holidays. You take pride in providing the best vacation and recreation experience possible.
You will:
Start date: Oct. 5, 2026
Directly influence the quality, quantity and location of snow being made.
Consult with the crew leader, snow making supervisor and/or assistant regarding specific snow gun placements.
Adjust guns properly for different temperatures and wind conditions.
Previous experience with the safe operations of snowmobiles
Working with and handling high pressure air and water lines
Follow all safe operating procedures and report all safety issues to your manager.
Monitor equipment and conditions to prevent freezing of equipment and ensure efficient operation of snowmaking equipment.
Report progress and problems.
Adhere to company safety policies.
If designated and subsequently trained as a driver: operate snowmobiles, ATV's and other; machinery necessary to the department's operation.
