Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or comparable work experience
Experience with GAAP financial statements
Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills
Must possess strong organizational, analytical, and oral & written communication skills
Be detailed oriented while multi-tasking in a fast-paced company
Ability to adapt quickly to change, working effectively in a demanding environment
Must love diversity and work well with all personality types
Takes initiative, looking for areas of improvement and possess a commitment to following through on changes
Works well independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, our Accountants are responsible for the monthly property financial statement close process for approximately 20 self-storage properties, maintaining internal controls, treasury, and internal reporting
This is a hybrid position once fully trained: Tues thru Thurs in office; Mon & Fri work from home
Produce journal entries, banking and account reconciliations
Prepare monthly balance sheets and income statements
Analyze budget and actual results to report variances
Support integration of new acquisitions as needed
Compile a monthly reporting package for each property
Other accounting responsibilities and ad hoc projects as assigned
