Skilled Carpenter

Job Summary
Looking to join a team working on custom homes, renovations and commercial projects? Staite Builders is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality craftsmanship, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Experience with residential, commercial and institutional projects is an asset.

Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble wooden structures and fixtures according to specifications.
Perform installation tasks for cabinets, doors, windows, and other components.
Execute concrete forming for foundations and other structural elements.
Fit and install exterior finishes, such as soffit, fascia, flashing, various types of siding
Frame sub-floor, wall and roof systems
Frame decks, install various decking and railing systems
Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors to ensure project completion on time and within quality standards.
Ability to work independently, reporting to project managers
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety protocols.

Skills

Proficient in carpentry techniques including fabrication, assembly, installation, and restoration.
Familiarity with framing during concrete forming processes through finished millwork installation
Strong maintenance person skills with problem-solving abilities.
Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship standards.
Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
Qualifications

High school diploma
5+ years experience in framing and finish carpentry
Class G drivers license and access to reliable vehicle
Formal tickets and training certificates preferred
