We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man/ Skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set in home repair and maintenance, demonstrating proficiency in various tasks related to fixture installation, flooring and other remodeling related activities and installations, and general maintenance services. This role requires a hands-on approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Duties
Perform fixture installations including lighting, cabinets, and appliances.
Engage in various remodeling work, deck and flooring installation projects, HVAC to plumbing related projects and able to learn, research and adapt to many more things that may come in as a part of the project activities, ensuring quality workmanship.
Execute tasks related to the restoration industry, including repairs and renovations.
Fabricate custom solutions as needed for specific projects.
Read blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements and specifications.
Utilize hand tools effectively for various repair and maintenance tasks.
Conduct plumbing work as required, ensuring all installations meet safety standards.
Assist with concrete forming for outdoor projects or structural repairs.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
Proven experience as a maintenance person or in a similar role is preferred.
Strong knowledge of fixture installation techniques and restoration practices.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Familiarity with plumbing systems and flooring installation methods.
Experience in concrete forming is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members.
A valid driver’s license may be required for travel between job sites.
