HEB Construction, part of the global VINCI Construction network, is delivering some of Aotearoa’s most complex and community‑shaping civil infrastructure. As we expand our presence in Marlborough, we are now seeking Expressions of Interest from talented engineering and project professionals who want to be part of this nationally significant programme.
As a Site Engineer, you will be at the forefront of project delivery, working closely with construction teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to ensure works are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Key responsibilities will include:
Coordinating and supervising day-to-day site activities across civil and structural work fronts
Assisting with construction planning, methodology development, and programme implementation
Managing site documentation, QA processes, inspections, and compliance requirements
Monitoring progress, resolving technical issues, and supporting delivery against project milestones
Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and site interfaces to maintain productivity
Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with engineering specifications, drawings, and standards
Promoting a strong safety culture and supporting environmental compliance across all site activities
Liaising with project engineers, managers, consultants, and client representatives
Contributing to innovative engineering solutions for complex construction challenges

About you
We're interested in hearing from professionals who have:
Experience in civil, structural, marine, or major infrastructure construction projects of at least 3 years post graduation
A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering
Strong technical knowledge and a practical understanding of construction methodologies
Experience coordinating site activities and working within multidisciplinary project teams
A commitment to quality workmanship, safety, and continuous improvement
Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
A proactive, hands-on approach and willingness to take ownership of outcomes
The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment
