Position: Shuttering Foreman
Project: Residential Construction Project
Department: Execution / Civil
Location: Project Site
Reporting To: Site Engineer / Project Manager
Job Purpose
To supervise and manage shuttering/formwork activities at the residential project site, ensuring proper execution as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise day-to-day shuttering/formwork activities at the project site.
• Execute shuttering for columns, beams, slabs, walls, staircases, lift cores, and other RCC structures.
• Read and understand structural drawings, shuttering/formwork drawings, and site instructions.
• Ensure proper alignment, level, dimensions, plumb, and stability of shuttering before concrete pouring.
• Plan and allocate manpower for shuttering activities as per daily and weekly targets.
• Coordinate with Site Engineers, Civil Engineers, Bar Benders, Masons, and other site teams.
• Ensure proper installation, supporting, bracing, staging, and scaffolding of formwork.
• Check shuttering material availability and ensure optimum utilization of materials.
• Ensure proper cleaning, oiling, and maintenance of shuttering materials before reuse.
• Minimize material wastage and monitor reuse of shuttering materials.
• Ensure that shuttering is completed and ready for inspection before reinforcement and concreting activities.
• Coordinate with the engineering and quality teams for pre-pour inspections and rectification of observations.
