Shop Attendant
Job Description
The shop attendant must be a self driven person, who is willing to stay motived and continuously working to ensure the shop and premises are in a premium condition for our customers to receive the absolute best experience when visiting Craig's Auto Clinic. Shop attendants will work with employee AND customers to keep the work flow moving smoothly and helping create an excellent service visit every time for the customer. It is a hands on job - requiring the individual to do physical labor continuously throughout the day. Individuals must not be afraid to get their hands dirty, while being able to pivot and be presentable for clients. Uniforms, PPE and equipment will be provided to help the shop attendant perform all required tasks safely and appropriately.
Duties
Maintain and clean the mechanic shop including
Equipment like tire changers, hoists, fluid equipment etc.
Shelving and parts storage
Cleaning Mezzanine, storage areas
Parts cleaning, restocking and arranging
Floors, walls drains, waste disposal cleaning
Garbage, metal disposal, oil disposal, recycling equipment
Maintain and clean the employee facing areas including
Bathrooms - toilets, sinks, waste bins, keeping paper products stocked
Lunchroom
Storage rooms
Front office areas, desks and storage.
Old file maintenance and storage
Changing furnace filters and other building equipment such as light bulbs
Maintain and clean the offices as well as customer facing areas
Customer waiting room
Customer bathroom - Keeping toilets, sinks, waste bins, keeping paper products stocked
Coffee machine and refreshments - cleaned and stocked
Maintain the lawn, parking and storage areas on the shop
Lawn mowing, whipper snipping, weeding, landscaping maintenance
Pavement cleaning/clearing
Maintaining storage sea containers
Snow shoveling, clearing snow from customer's cars during snow removal and clean up
Cleaning and maintaining exterior signage and building
Tire storage and maintenance
Organize and maintain tire storage
Take out tires from tire storage for the next days appointments, and putting way completed tire jobs.
Keeping tire storage organized and tires well labeled.
Stock new tires and Labeling tires received for customers
Shuttle customers home or to work, and maintain communication with the shop and customer to arrange drives accordingly
Light bookkeeping
Mailbox and bank runs
Pickup and Deliver parts from various suppliers
Helping with advertising efforts, signage etc
More duties as required and as discussed with manager.
Applicants should be able to lift heavy objects like full tire and rim assemblies, weighing as much as 50lbs. Applicants need a valid drivers license to drive shuttle vehicle with clients.

After the probation period the Shop Attendant may be eligible for a shop Labor Sales commission structure, and will get additional pay based off a tiered total shop labor sales structure. We believe the Shop Attendant can play an important role creating the best experience for a client and helping us achieve higher sales through customer retention.
