Job Description
Summary/Objective The Electrician Helper provides support and assist to one or more skilled electricians. The Electrician Helper will also provide general work assisting the skilled electrician with basic tasks like keeping documentation and paperwork all related maintenance in applicable logs and maintaining good housekeeping practices.
Essential Functions

1. An E4 Electrician may be required to perform any of the duties and responsibilities associated with classifications E3 and A8. In addition, an E4 Electrician:
2. Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit using measuring devices, hand tools, threaders and hand or mechanical benders.
3. Assists in switchgear installations and terminations.
4. Operates any hand tools and equipment necessary to perform all associated tasks.
5. Understands and instructs assigned helpers in the safe operation of tools, use of equipment, electrical principles, and applicable codes.
6. Performs other project related duties and assignments as instructed by supervisor.
7. Meets attendance standards and complies with late/absence notification procedures.
8. DOES NOT WORK ON ENERGIZED CIRCUITS OR EQUIPMENT.

Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work vary, 40 hours per week, overtime may be required.
Travel
Job Sites can be located in multiple locations and out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
Required Education and Experience
• Licenses: Current Driver’s License and must have own reliable transportation.
• High School Graduate, GED or equivalent.

A high degree of teamwork is essential as the position must interact closely with our customer service representatives and delivery drivers to ensure that our customers get the level of quality and service that sets us apart from our competition.
Role and Responsibilities
· Assist Service Technician with Installation of above ground and below ground propane systems at customer locations ranging from residential homes to commercial locations
· Assist with service existing customer locations: troubleshooting & repairing propane systems; performing leak checks; and system startups
· Accurately assist with completing work orders, manage truck inventory and assist with general operations tasks
· Operate consistently with a safety-first mindset focusing on the safety of our customers, team members, communities, and strict compliance with propane safety regulations
· All other duties assigned by management.
Required Skills/Abilities
· Able to complete service work documentation.
· Lifting, pushing, pulling, bending and climbing in and out of the truck and doing service/installation work.
· Able to safely operate the equipment required for the position
Experience
· Propane Experience preferred but not required, will train and provide assistance for licensing exams.
Physical Requirements
· Physically able to work in environment conditions such as heat, rain, mud, ice, snow and uneven terrain.
· Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time
· Lifting, pushing, pulling, bending and climbing in and out of the truck.
