Port Augusta Hospital and Regional Health Service is a leading regional hospital in South Australia, offering 58 beds, including flex and monitored beds, and a broad range of services such as emergency care, general and surgical services, maternity, outpatient clinics, and outreach programs. We are proud to provide chemotherapy services, along with a Renal Dialysis Unit and a Paediatric Department - both the largest outside of Adelaide - ensuring advanced care close to home for our community. Our dedicated team works in close partnership with community health services and Aboriginal health providers, delivering inclusive, high-quality care to all areas of the region. About the Role:

As a Services Assistant, you will deliver a high standard of service through the provision of timely, efficient and effective catering and cleaning services within the health unit. Your duties will include the preparation, service and delivery of food to clients, general housekeeping, and undertaking laundry tasks as required.

In this role, you will contribute to maintaining a safe and hygienic environment by performing cleaning duties that reduce the risk of cross infection, including specialised cleaning such as operating theatres and handling contaminated waste. You will also support catering functions by preparing food items, assisting with dietary requirements and maintaining food safety standards.


About You:

Experience in any of the following areas: housekeeping, cooking/catering and laundry.
Experience in the use of computer packages e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel.
Experience in exercising own judgement and initiative in the day-to-day execution of a position.
Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category A (direct contact with blood or body substances)
