Andaz Miami Beach is now recruiting Servers to join the hotel's team. An art-deco building and architectural landmark is home to the newest luxury lifestyle hotel located in the heart of Mid-beach. The property boasts 287 guestrooms including 64 breathtaking suites and the ONLY Ocean-view arrival experience in Miami Beach. The design features elements of texture, art, and pops of color that create a unique and captivating experience. Each suite is designed with floor-to-ceiling windows, most with deep-soaking tubs, and cozy reading nooks. Guests can also enjoy private outdoor terraces with stunning views of the Atlantic and the Miami skyline. Unmatched amenities include a full-service spa, a well-equipped fitness center, a destination dining experience by José Andrés, two pools, and a Beach Club catering to the who's who of Miami. Job Description
Andaz Miami Beach is looking for Servers who are excited, qualified, hard-working, individuals with a passion for hospitality and a commitment to superior guest service. Experience with Micros, high volume, and extensive Servers are all beneficial but not required. The Server is responsibility is to ensure exceptional dining experiences for guests. You will be the face of the restaurant, interacting directly with customers to take orders, provide menu recommendations, and deliver food and beverages promptly and accurately. A friendly and professional demeanor, attention to detail, and ability to multitask will contribute to the overall success of the establishment.
Duties and functions
• Uphold company policies and procedures, including adhering to work schedules, dress code, and attendance guidelines.
• Adheres to all company safety and sanitation policies and procedures
• Performs opening side work and set up station
• Attends and participates in any training sessions, department meetings
• Provides professional and exceptional food and beverage service
• Make recommendations based on guests' preferences and dietary restrictions.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and efficiently, ensuring accuracy and good presentation, and timed so the entire table is served within a reasonable time frame.
• Check on guests during their meals to ensure satisfaction and address requests/concerns.
• Refill drinks, clear plates, and reset tables to maintain a clean and organized dining area.
• Provide attentive and personalized service, anticipating guests' needs.
• Collaborate with fellow servers, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 20lbs
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required in the hospitality industry.
• Previous experience in a restaurant or customer service role is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude, and enjoyment of the hospitality industry.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.
• Strong multitasking and time management abilities.
• Attention to detail, ensuring accurate order-taking and payment processing.
• Knowledge of food and beverage menus, including dietary restrictions and allergies.
• Basic math skills for handling payments and calculating tips.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods.
