Basic networking
Unix (Solaris, HPUX, AIX)
Red Hat Enterprise Linux
Experience administering Unix/Linux in a production environment.
JIRA experience.
Maintain Web servers and IIS web services
Expertise in bash and other Linux scripting languages, and proficiency in SQL.
Experience in CI/CD tools
- Dockers, Git, Jenkins.
Experience in Microservices Architecture and related stacks using containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
Experience supporting infrastructure for Hadoop.
Experience in both On-Premises hosted environments and Cloud ce supporting high
- performance, distributed systems and system monitoring tools
Experience in virtualization, clustering and managing the Data Center servers.
Networking knowledge and understanding of network concepts, such as different protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, etc.), MAC addresses, IP packets, DNS, OSI layers, and load balancing).
Assist in troubleshooting server issues.
Assist in management of physical and virtualized servers.
Administer system management tools such as patching and antivirus products.
Document the design, maintenance, and support procedures for routine tasks.
Participate in a 24x7 on-call support rotation and off-hours maintenance.
Expert level understanding of incident management processes and procedures.
Ability to understand and capture key data from logs at an expert level.
Ability to understand traffics flows and key dependencies between services.
Detect and quantify impact.
Expert level troubleshooting skills using a diverse set of tools and methods
Analyze trends to pro-actively prevent incidents.
Focus on immediate restoration vs root cause.
Develop automation and self-healing with DevOps, Engineering and SRE partners.
Strong focus on collecting and inferring metrics.
Comfortable building metrics, monitoring, and alerting for micro-services
Monitoring, troubleshooting, of certificate and key related issues
Clear communication skills.
