Job Description
The Team
This position is in the My Oracle Support Applications group. My Oracle Support is a mission critical application used by Oracle Customer Support to manage and resolve all customer-initiated requests for different Oracle products. We are investing in building next generation My Oracle Support application using OCI, PaaS and SaaS offerings from Oracle technology and application stack with a goal of enhancing our customers experience.
We are a group of highly motivated application engineers with expertise across the enterprise application technology stack, working in small agile teams to solve sophisticated and high impact problems.

What you will do
• Responsible for full software lifecycle, design and development of data pipelines and migration solutions across heterogenous systems like Oracle database, Oracle Sales and Service cloud, Oracle management Cloud, Oracle Data warehouses etc.
• Requirement elicitation through participation in workshops, meetings and document analysis for all Data Migration needs of the application.
• Identify data sources to be migrated, including prioritization and filtering of those sources by collaborating with stakeholders.
• Audit existing data systems and deployments and identify errors or areas for improvement.
• Strategize and plan an entire project, including moving the data and transforming contents as necessary, while considering risks and potential impacts.
• Test the new system after the migration process as well as the resulting data to find errors and/or points of corruption. Work with QA teams to identify scenarios and to create Acceptance criteria
• Responsible for performing functions in the areas of technical design, development, testing and deployment of Data Migration solutions.
• Document everything from the strategies used to the exact migration processes. Develop and propose data migration best practices.
• Research and evaluate a variety of software products and development tools.
• Apply knowledge/skills to a range of standard and moderately complex activities
• Assimilate disparate information (log files, error messages, etc.) and pursue leads to perform root cause analysis.
• Ensure optimum performance, high availability and stability of solutions.
• Seamlessly work in a multisite, multicultural development team.
• Focus on taking actions and delivering results.
• Think systematically in a multicultural environment, to deal with different role & team members.
What you will need
• Graduate or Post Graduate degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 6 years of software engineering experience, developing and delivering products and solutions in a commercial environment.
• Experience in Business Requirement Mapping for Data Migration.
• Skilled in ETL and Data Migration Tools and Methodology ODI/Informatica
• Strong working experience with Oracle database with excellent knowledge and understanding of SQL, PL/SQL
• Good programming and problem-solving skills in Java/C#/Perl/Python.
• Experienced with Windows and Linux, such as Red Hat or Ubuntu. Worked with shell scripts.
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals and data structures.
• Experience with implementing continuous integration and delivery concepts (CI/CD) using Jenkins is desirable.
• Experience in cloud technologies, platforms and database applications will be an added advantage.
• Experience in developing automated tests for Functional and Performance Testing using Mocha/Chai/Jasmine/cucumber and Selenium or any other automation tool is an added advantage.
• Good to have experience in containerization tools i.e docker,Kubernetes
