Job Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Video Editor with a strong creative eye and hands-on experience in editing short-form (Reels, Shorts) and long-form (YouTube) content tailored for healthcare, wellness, and medical audiences. This role requires both storytelling finesse and technical expertise to create videos that are informative, on-brand, and optimized for digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Edit engaging and high-quality video content, including Instagram Reels, YouTube videos, interviews, explainer videos, and patient testimonials.
Work with raw footage from shoots and stock libraries to assemble final cuts with proper transitions, audio, color grading, and motion graphics.
Collaborate closely with the creative, content, and marketing teams to understand video goals, scripts, and messaging.
Optimize content for platform-specific formats and trends (e.g., vertical videos for Reels/Shorts, SEO-friendly YouTube editing).
Maintain brand consistency across all video content while complying with medical and regulatory standards.
Implement subtitles, visual aids, infographics, and animations to enhance storytelling.
Keep up with current video trends, especially in the healthcare and wellness digital space.
Provide guidance to junior editors or freelancers, ensuring quality control and workflow efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills:
4+ years of professional video editing experience; agency or healthcare experience is a plus.
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, and/or DaVinci Resolve.
Strong storytelling skills with a portfolio showcasing both short-form and long-form edits.
Familiarity with editing for medical/healthcare content and understanding of privacy, compliance, and ethical standards.
Working knowledge of motion graphics, text animation, and basic sound design.
Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Team-oriented, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred:
Experience with YouTube SEO and video publishing strategies.
Background in healthcare marketing, pharma content, or medical education.
Basic understanding of anatomy, medical terminology, or patient communication.
