Job Description
Faze Three Limited, one of India‘s largest and fastest growing design driven manufacturers & exporters of home textiles and floor coverings, is looking for ‘Senior Textile Designer‘ across Cushions, Throws, Rugs and Bathmat categories for its’ Panipat unit. The role is suitable for a creative individual keen to apply their skills and talent in a team-oriented environment, contributing to innovative design solutions in the home textiles and floor coverings space.
Key responsibilities:
Interpret mood boards / inspiration images and create highly innovative and commercial Soft Home Furnishings and Floor Covering products like Decorative Cushions, Throws, Top of Beds, Curtains, Table & Kitchen Linens, Bathmats and Rugs to name a few. Market research and assist the Senior V.P. of Design & Development in conceptualising the seasonal trend boards, colour palette and entire range planning from concepts to finished products. Collaborate closely with the merchandising and in-house sampling team for transition of concepts from initial design to final product. Comprehend design briefs received from the buyers and execute samples in a deadline driven environment. Assist in creative showroom display and present collection to the buyer in a comprehensive manner across company showrooms in India and USA. Sourcing of innovative yarns, fabrics, trims to keep the innovation alive across product categories.
Desired Candidate Profile:
Degree / Diploma in Textile Design from reputed institutes like NID, NIFT or Pearl. Minimum 8-10 years of experience with deep understanding of aesthetic preferences for the US, UK and European markets, preferably with a design portfolio that highlights expertise in the export market. Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator and should be able to create CAD layouts with realistic visual appeal. Technical knowhow of various textile materials, with a specialization in fabric construction and extensive knowledge of various yarns and weaving techniques. Expertise in various key product attributes including printing, surface embellishments, tufting, manual & computer embroidery etc. Excellent eye for commercial colours, highly detail-oriented and have the ability to handle multiple tasks in a deadline driven environment. Proven organizational and communication skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach to project management. Genuine passion for staying abreast of the latest industry trends and innovations across continents. This is an onsite position and candidate would be based out of Panipat office.
