Senior Test Engineer - Electric Vehicle Technologies
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement comprehensive test plans for EV charging hardware and software systems.
• Establish and maintain dynamic test environments, including power electronics, communication interfaces (OCPP, ISO 15118), and vehicle simulators.
• Conduct functional, regression, and stress testing of Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE).
• Thoroughly document test procedures, results, and any anomalies in an organized manner.
• Collaborate with design, firmware, and systems engineering teams to diagnose and resolve issues effectively.
• Assist in compliance testing to meet industry standards (e.g., UL, IEC, SAE).
• Contribute to continuous improvement of test processes and automation frameworks.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in testing or validation roles.
• Familiarity with testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power analyzers.
• Basic knowledge of EV charging protocols and power systems is beneficial.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB) for test automation is advantageous.
• Strong analytical mindset and exceptional problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Essential Skills:
• In-depth knowledge of EV charging systems and associated technologies, both hardware and software.
• Familiarity with mixed signal design from an electrical perspective.
• Experience in product-level testing (end to end).
Preferred Skills:
• Experience in designing embedded products such as EV chargers or similar high-power devices.
• Knowledge of component-level, system-level, and product-level testing.
• Understanding of pre-compliance and certification testing.
• Proficiency in test automation and scripting techniques.
Nice to Have:
• Exposure to testing EVSE or automotive systems.
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as CAN, Modbus, or Ethernet.
• Experience with test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).

Work Arrangement: Fully On-Site. Must be able to travel to an Arrow Client office location as requested by Arrow Client leadership.
