Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Staff Network Operations Engineer to lead the deployment and operations of our zero trust network architecture. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience supporting and managing Zscaler Zero Trust solutions in large enterprise environments with more than 50,000 employees, including ZIA (Zscaler Internet Access), ZPA (Zscaler Private Access), ZDX (Zscaler Digital Experience), and ZCC (Zscaler Client Connector). This role is critical in ensuring the successful implementation, operation, and optimization of our zero trust solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic Deployment and Configuration: Lead the strategic planning, deployment, and advanced configuration of Zscaler zero trust solutions (ZIA, ZPA, ZDX, ZCC) to meet the organization’s complex security and operational requirements.
• Operational Leadership: Provide senior-level operational leadership and support for the zero trust architecture, including proactive monitoring, advanced troubleshooting, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Advanced Policy Management: Develop, implement, and manage sophisticated security policies and access controls within the Zscaler environment to align with organizational security objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Incident Response and Mitigation: Lead the response to and resolution of high-severity security incidents and alerts related to the Zscaler zero trust environment. Conduct thorough root cause analysis and implement robust corrective actions.
• Performance Optimization and Innovation: Continuously monitor and analyze system performance. Identify and implement cutting-edge enhancements to optimize the user experience and system efficiency.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT security, network teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and operation of zero trust solutions. Provide senior technical expertise and guidance on best practices.
• Comprehensive Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures. Generate detailed reports on system performance, security incidents, and other key metrics for executive review.
• Training and Knowledge Sharing: Conduct advanced training sessions and workshops to educate internal teams on Zscaler zero trust technologies and operational procedures. Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge across teams.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in network operations and security with a focus on zero trust architectures and Zscaler solutions, including experience in large enterprises with over 50,000 employees.
Desired Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
• Deep expertise in Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange components: ZIA, ZPA, ZDX, ZCC.
• Strong knowledge of advanced network protocols, security principles, and access control models.
• Proven experience with network monitoring and advanced troubleshooting tools.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation for network operations (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
Soft Skills:
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lead projects independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Certifications:
• Relevant certifications such as Zscaler Certified Cloud Professional (ZCCP), Zscaler Certified Cloud Administrator (ZCCA), or other advanced network security certifications are highly desirable.
