Job Title:
Senior Specialist Staff Counsel
Job Description
The candidate must be a qualified lawyer (Legal Degree) from a reputed law school or university and should have more than 2-6 years of experience as an in-house counsel.
The candidate should be a “hands-on” lawyer and experienced in handling wide range of Commercial Vendor documents.
Key Responsibility Areas:
• Drafting, reviewing, negotiating Agreements with Vendors, their Amendments, Addendums, SOWs; and interpret such documents for global stakeholders.
• Working in close interaction with various internal stakeholders from different functions across the globe.
• Handling Global Procurement Contracts pertaining to Software, Telecom contracts and NDAs
• Negotiating the contracts with the attorneys of Vendors and leading closure independently.
• Provide advice and support on matters related to Vendor Contracts / Contract Management issues
• Preparing responses on the contract terms for Vendors by identifying and articulating the legal and business risks.
• Ensure compliance with laws and company policies while supporting business.
• Would need to work on internal contract review tool
Required Experience & Skills:
• LL.B (Must) / LL.M (optional) with 2+yrs. of Industry Experience.
• Must be an expert in Contract drafting, redlining, reviewing and negotiation.
• Prior experience in IT domain will be an added advantage.
• Should be skilled in Interpretation of laws and of various legal clauses for jurisdictions worldwide. Global exposure will be highly preferred.
• Fluent English (written / verbal)
• Excellent interpersonal skills
