Senior SoftwareDefined Data Center Engineer

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
• Design, plan and implement basic-to-complex Data Center projects for clients of all sizes in Luxembourg
• Interact with clients onsite or remotely to meet complex requirements of a solution.
• Ensure that hardware and software components are installed, configured, integrated and tested accordingly to client requirements and beyond.
• Escalate unresolved problems and issues to the relevant third parties.
• Delegates lower complexity tasks to engineers and technicians.
• Maintain and operate complex infrastructures.
• Write reports and proposals and complete and maintain project documentation.
• Assist with the documentation of standard operating procedures relating to installations and fixes.
• Act as coach and mentor to more junior Implementation Engineers and Technicians.
• May be required to serve periodically on the customer service desk, providing third line telephonic, remote and on-site support and problem management.
• Included in complex design work, collaborating with the Solutions team, with input to the design expected.
• Propose and contribute to improvements as a trusted advisor for our clients, but also in our internal initiatives.
• Actively look for innovation and digital transformation of our clients.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:
• Computer Science / Information Technology Degree or equivalent together with specialised training in new technologies and legacy systems or equivalent.

• Any technical certification related to Data Center or Cloud PaaS vendors (VMware, Dell EMC, Microsoft Azure, AWS...)
• English language is mandatory, French or German are an asset.

Required Experience:
• At least 5 years' experience in the field
• Extensive work experience in a technical implementation engineering or similar role
• Experience engaging with clients and conducting presentations
• Excellent project administration and documentation experience
• Report writing experience
• Good project management experience
