Role: AI Specialist / Bots Engineer

We are looking for an experienced AI Specialist / Bots Engineer to help define, build, and maintain scalable AI systems for a live-service multiplayer game.
This role will focus on developing reliable, performant, and highly tunable bot technology that can support a wide range of gameplay experiences and long-term product needs.
In this role:
Partner closely with Design, Production, and Gameplay Engineering to understand gameplay goals and translate them into robust AI solutions.
Design, implement, and maintain bot systems that are reliable, performant, scalable, and easy to tune.
Build flexible, data-driven AI systems and workflows that allow designers to iterate quickly on bot behavior.
Contribute to the architecture of shared AI technology that can support multiple gameplay scenarios and future feature development.
Investigate and resolve AI-related bugs, performance issues, and edge cases in a large, complex codebase.
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure AI systems meet stability, performance, networking, and live-service quality standards.
Provide technical leadership and subject-matter expertise in bot behavior, AI architecture, debugging, and optimization.
