Senior Software Engineer – Java
Full time – Permanent Position
Canada Remote
Exp: 7+ yrs
The Senior Software Engineer, Java reports to the Engineering Manager, Software Delivery, and will be responsiblefor all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle, including discovery, design, implementation, and support.
In this role, you will serve on a full-stack team facing the challenges of building highly scalable distributed systems. You'llcollaborate with cross-functional teams of different expertise to ensure project objectives get achieved.
Your Impact:
● Teamwork + Organizational Leadership
○ Help establish best practices and standards while mentoring other developers.
○ Perform as a personal and technical leader, contributing knowledge to the team and the organization, and communicate effectively; always carry a
professional tone that fosters collaboration and teamwork.
○ Act as critical thinker and decision-maker, capable of both precisely and broadly strategizing and managing risk for the team, project, and company.
○ Committed to organizational structure and development.
○ Assist in growing and supporting departmental personnel by coaching and motivating staff to encourage maximum team performance.
○ Identify and promote educational opportunities that will raise the expertise and velocity of team members.
○ Conduct code reviews and coaching and mentoring of junior developers.
● Strategic + Operational Guidance
○ Collaborate with architecture to deliver high-quality software solutions while guiding junior developers.
○ Work closely with the Software Development Technical Lead to establish
