We assist ASB insurance customers by connecting them with insurance products and services. ASB provides General and Life Insurance, with insurance partners underwriting General Insurance and Life Insurance. Our responsibility is to support insurance partners in keeping their systems operating efficiently.
We handle core insurance data and work closely with our insurance partners to deliver integrated technology solutions.
Mō te tūranga About the role
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a 12 month fixed term, with expertise in .Net, SQL, ADO pipelines to join the squad and contribute to building and maintaining existing integration platform in insurance domain. The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge. This role involves developing and maintaining existing .Net services and cloud / on-prem applications.
Designing, maintaining, developing and supporting solutions
Continuous improvement of process and technology to be scalable and highly available
Work with internal stakeholders to understand their needs
Monitoring, alerting, and reporting on environments
Mentoring and uplifting the best practice
Experience with CI/CD tools like Azure Pipelines

We are looking for someone who has most of the following:
5+ years of software engineering experience
Extensive experience with SQL, C# .Net, WEB API, Knowledge on Microsoft Access, Github and git version control and pipeline management, TFS, Postman, Octopus pipelines, Visual Studio
Strong design and programming skills in C# .Net
Experience as a backend developer with REST API / Microservices.
Proven experience building SDKs, libraries, and reusable software components
In-depth understanding of data analysis and incident management skills.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools like Git.
Experience with cloud / on-prem platforms
Proficiency in Agile methodologies.
Mentoring/ guiding on standards and best practices in code development, quality and technical design.
