Role Overview:

We are seeking a technically proficient leader to establish and head our new Indian subsidiary. This role is not just managerial but also deeply technical, requiring direct involvement in coding and technical decision-making during the initial phase of team scaling. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, particularly in Microsoft technologies and serverless architecture.

Key Responsibilities:
• Hands-On Technical Leadership: Actively participate in coding and architectural decisions using C#, .Net, PostgreSQL, and Microsoft Azure.
• Develop and execute a strategic plan to establish and scale the Indian subsidiary, aligning with the company’s growth objectives.
• Hire, lead, and mentor a technical team including developers, architects, and testers.
• Manage the full software development lifecycle, ensuring effective use of cutting-edge technologies and serverless solutions.
• Implement best practices in software development and team management, adapting to local nuances without compromising global standards.

Nice to Have: Familiarity with data science methodologies and experience programming in Python, which are advantageous but not essential to the role.

Qualifications:

Proven leadership experience with a track record of successfully building and managing technology teams from the ground up.

Extensive experience in serverless development, particularly using Microsoft Azure, Microsoft .Net, and PostgreSQL.

Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and project management principles.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.

Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment and navigate cross-cultural business settings.

Prior experience in or knowledge of the social housing sector is a plus, but not required.

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
