What is the opportunity?
RBC Capital Markets is a leading global investment banking company dedicated to providing services in banking, finance, and capital markets to corporations, institutional investors, asset managers, and governments globally. The Funding and Liquidity Technology group within RBC Capital Markets' Quantitative and Technology Services (QTS) organization is responsible for supporting the business units that manage both secured and unsecured funding within Capital Markets. We are investing in new capabilities to ensure that RBC is as efficient as possible in funding the firm in line with our risk appetite. You will work within a small team liaising with business analysts and business users directly. This is a hands-on development role with a real opportunity to learn the Capital Markets business.
What will you do?
As a senior software developer, you will work with the team to implement software for Funding initiatives and integrate with generic data processing pipeline
Carry out data analysis & schema designs for Funding and Liquidity modernization applications
Code, test, debug, implement and support a strategic end of day batch and realtime Funding and Asset Liability Reporting
Analyze, debug and resolve production issues related including but not limited to data flows, application performance, system latency and infrastructure and network products
Support application deployment, production incidents, and issues on a rotational basis as an application developer/owner, with potential for limited out-of-hours work and on-call availability
Be a mentor for junior members and technical leader by providing architecture guidance for all ongoing and upcoming books of works
Be deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high-quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously
In this role, you will communicate and interact frequently with RBC partners and/or employees located across Canada and/or worldwide
