Job Description
We're looking for a talented Senior Android Engineer to join our Retail & Restaurant Commerce Technology organization at RemoteWorker CA.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge mobile solutions using Flutter, Kotlin, and Java, while collaborating with a diverse team of engineers and service owners.
About the Job
• You'll design and develop scalable and performant production-level applications using Flutter, Kotlin, and/or Java.
• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders in defining solutions that meet business requirements.
• Create detailed software development documentation and assist in assigning tasks to team members.
• Build well-designed, well-engineered, stable, and performant mobile applications.
• Mentor junior team members by providing oversight and direction.
• Recommend improvements to processes, technologies, and coding practices that improve team effectiveness.
• Stay up-to-date with current technologies and latest trends, and innovate solutions to existing problems.
Requirements
• At least 5 years of experience building highly scalable and performant production-level applications.
• Strong experience using Kotlin and Java in building Android consumer-facing applications.
• Contribute to the entire development cycle, including technical design, development, testing, experimentation, analysis, and product launch.
• Proven collaboration skills and ability to communicate about software processes, architectures, and design patterns across teams.
• Experience mentoring junior team members and delivering encouraging and constructive feedback.
• Experience working in an Agile Team consisting of product managers, project managers, design, QA, and tech.
• Solid understanding of mobile development, design principles, patterns, and best practices related to application development concepts, designs, and architectures.
• Excellent communication skills required to interact with senior leaders, technical colleagues, and partners.
• Self-motivated, quick learner, passion for consumer software.
• Strong problem-solving and analysis skills.
• Strong knowledge of unit testing and continuous integration.
• Experience developing applications using Flutter.
• Deep knowledge and experience of managing, orchestrating, and monitoring distributed production systems.
