Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Site Engineer with over 5 years of proven track record in executing [Residential / Commercial / Industrial / Infrastructure] projects. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations, managing sub-contractors, ensuring strict adherence to engineering designs, maintaining rigorous quality control, and ensuring the project is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
• Site Management & Supervision: Oversee and manage daily construction activities on-site, ensuring everything aligns with the approved architectural and structural drawings.
• Project Scheduling: Plan, monitor, and track daily/weekly project schedules. Ensure milestones are met and proactively resolve any on-site bottlenecks.
• Quality Assurance & Control (QA/QC): Conduct regular inspections of workmanship, materials, and structural elements (e.g., concrete pouring, reinforcement, brickwork, finishing) to maintain the highest quality standards.
• Vendor & Labor Management: Coordinate with sub-contractors, labor contractors, and suppliers. Efficiently allocate labor and machinery to maximize productivity.
• Material Management: Estimate daily material requirements, raise purchase indents, check the quality of incoming materials, and minimize wastage on-site.
• Billing & Estimation: Review and verify sub-contractor bills, prepare client billing, and maintain accurate records of measurements (Joint Measurement Records).
• Safety Compliance: Enforce strict health and safety protocols (HSE guidelines) on-site to maintain a zero-incident work environment.
• Reporting: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports (DPR/WPR/MPR) and present them to the Project Manager.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Education: B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 5 to 8 years of core execution experience on construction sites.
• Technical Skills: * Proficient in reading and interpreting structural and architectural drawings.
• Strong knowledge of concrete technology, reinforcement steel BBS (Bar Bending Schedule), and finishing works.
• Familiarity with project management software (MS Project or Primavera) and AutoCAD is highly desirable.
• Sound understanding of IS codes and construction safety norms.
• Soft Skills: Leadership qualities, excellent communication, crisis management, and the ability to handle labor pressure effectively.
