Senior Real Estate Conveyancer
Job Description
Our client, a growing downtown law firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Real Estate Conveyancer to join their busy team. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who enjoys working independently with team support and thrives in a high-volume environment.
The firm represents major builders and developers, resulting in well-established processes and streamlined transactions—so you can step in with minimal training and hit the ground running. While the primary focus is residential, commercial conveyancing experience is considered a strong asset.
Key responsibilities include:
• Managing the full conveyancing process for residential developments, including presale agreements, purchases, and title transfers.
• Preparing and reviewing legal documents for purchase, sale, and financing transactions.
• Conducting title, tax, and corporate searches; identifying and resolving title issues; ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Coordinating with clients, lenders, realtors, builders, and legal professionals.
• Overseeing closings, including payouts, registrations, and final reporting.
• Maintaining accurate file documentation, diarizing critical dates, and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Managing trust transactions and registrations.
• Providing exceptional client service throughout the transaction process.
• Supporting team workflow by assisting colleagues as needed to balance high-volume workloads.
The ideal candidate will bring:
• Approximately 10+ years of residential real estate conveyancing experience
• A background in builder/developer files is an asset.
• Deep knowledge of conveyancing procedures, title transfers, and builder agreements.
• The ability to independently manage a busy file load with minimal supervision — you can step in and hit the ground running.
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and client service skills.
• The ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a high-volume environment.
• A collaborative approach while working independently.
• Experience conducting title searches and resolving title issues.
• Experience with commercial real estate conveyancing is considered an asset.

• Competitive salary of $80,000–$90,000, depending on experience.
