Full job description
A unique and exciting opportunity to join Shellharbour City Council as our Senior Rates Officer where you will manage all aspects of the levying and collection of rates and charges in line with Council policy and rating legislation. In addition you will provide supervision and guidance to the wider rates team.

Some key responsibilities and tasks include:

Provide supervision, coaching and guidance to staff within the rates team
Ensure the levy and collection of council’s rates and charges is efficient and complies with legislation and policy
Manage compliance with the Local Government Act 1++3 and Regulations with respect to rating
Handle rates enquiries efficiently and effectively in line with Council’s Customer Service Charter
A full time opportunity to work within the Finance business unit who are professional, supportive and have a strong focus on providing a customer focused finance service that delivers innovative solutions, and improved outcomes.
